I had a great time visiting my parents in Iowa.  Every year my mom comes up with a fun table setting for dinner… this year’s included mini stockings embroidered with each of our names!

Every year my mom makes a ‘Happy Birthday Jesus’ cake as one of the many desserts to share on Christmas.  A nice reminder that he is the reason for the season!

Last weekend my boyfriend and I ventured out for an after dinner drink at the Four Seasons here in Chicago.  With their holiday decor in full swing and my newfound love for scotch, this was the perfect place to end the evening with a nightcap and a few desserts!
